Delicious and cheesy comfort with the added benefit of whole grain pasta. We use only the best whole wheat pasta with Real Aged Cheddar cheese. It’s creamy, it’s rich, it’s absolutely fabulous! Super easy – just cook the pasta and add the cheese. No extra ingredients to add!
- Made with 100% Real Cheese
- Made with Organic Pasta
- Good Source of Calcium & Protein
- No Artificial Flavors, Synthetic Colors, or Preservatives.

If you like the taste of slimy cardboard…
Seriously. I thought I’d try to go all ‘whole grain’, ‘organic’, ‘healthy’, etc. And yes, I get that it’s a relative thing when I’m looking for healthy from a mac and cheese. But seriously? This is awful. SO not worth it. There isn’t enough sauce to cover the pasta, it’s bland and vaguely tasteless. And, simultaneously, somehow, slimy. I’m not sure how they manged to make it both dry and slimy, but seeming-paradox accomplished! It’s all well and good to try to do pre-packaged mac and cheese as healthy as you can, but this just isn’t worth it at all. I’ll keep shopping, but I would have rather eaten a box of Velveeta (even on my organic, health food kick (again, health food as applies to mac and cheese)) than a bite of this stuff. Ugh. Don’t waste your money.
I used to pick these up 3 or 4 at a time at Whole Foods because it is THE best tasting mac n cheese out there. I love the whole wheat flavour and the organic cheese is very rich and delicious. It’s ridiculously easy to make and doesn’t make a mess. I’m glad I can get them in bulk for less now.
Whole Wheat AND good!
I bought this at Whole Foods when my daughter was sick and was requesting nothing more than mac and cheese. I figured at least this would give her 6 grams of fiber and 11 grams of protein per serving (box serves 3). Sometimes I use 1/2 the cheese sauce so it’s not too overwhelming and salty, she never knows the difference. She woofs this down and asks for more. I have been hoping Annie’s would introduce a ready-made mac and cheese in whole wheat for a while now, and finally it’s here. Thank you!
A great treat
I really like Annie’s products as they are healthy and the kids like them. This is as good as mac and cheese gets and I don’t feel too bad about the kids having it as compared to name brands.
Good stuff, so simple it’s unbelievable. I always try to have a couple boxes on hand for emergencies. Give it a try.

Gummy texture with no cheese taste
The pasta shells have a gummy texture. The cheese sauce is tasteless. I was put off by the brown color of the finished product. My wife and I agreed this was the worst mac & cheese we ever tried.
I’ve been waiting for this for my whole parenting life
Well, I’ve been waiting for this. Annie’s offers mac and cheese where the cheese sauce isn’t full of disgusting things, so I have been buying that at costco. Not feeling too guilty, but not a fan of the white flour noodles. THEN I saw this on amazon. I thought my kids would hate it compared. WRONG! We all love it. Thank you, annies, and thank you, amazon. I have it ordered to come continuously, and i save 10 percent. awesome. worth the extra money compared to the stuff in the store for 99 cents.

A healthier alternative
My 18 month old loves this mac & cheese. It is pretty bland tasting, but he’s never had the Kraft version to compare it to. I always mix in a bag of frozen broccoli and he eats it all. It is nice to have on hand for a quick meal and to know I’m not succumbing to an artificially-laden, cancer-causing convenience food 🙁
Tastes great for being 100 percent whole wheat
Of course, nothing beats the consistancy of enriched white pasta. However, I refuse to put anything in my cart anymore that isn’t completely whole grain or organic. We all like it,including my extremely picky 3 year old daughter. So, we’ve made the swithch! The creamy cheese packet is the key ingredient. Finally, a healthy mac and cheese!
Best Mac N Cheese Around
I’m a life long Mac N Cheese lover and Annie’s is simply the best. I’m tried Kraft and the other usual suspects but this just tastes better. I think it’s because Annie’s uses honest to goodness, actual cheese and not a cheese substitute or artificial cheese. However they make it, it’s awesome. Try it with hamburger and you won’t go back to whatever other brand you’re using. My kids both love it as well and they tend to be picky at their age (both under 3 yrs)
