Tastes like you just made it from scratch, after only 2 mins in the microwave. It is nutty, delicious, and nutritious. I add a handful of blueberries after I take it from the microwave, and Wala.. I’m in Heaven! EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!
I LOVE oatmeal but often don’t find the time to make it at home, and I really don’t like instant oatmeal (until now!). I would stop by McDonald’s or Chick fil A occasionally for oatmeal, but that’s an expensive habit at $1.99 to $2.59 a bowl.
I found Abundance at a local big box retailer and it was on sale, so I tried it. It is absolutely delicious! Lower in sugar and salt than the regular microwave oatmeal too! Even those who don’t like oatmeal should try it. I’ve tried Maple & Brown Sugar, which is tasty, and Apples & Cinnamon. I particularly like the Apples & Cinnamon. The apples are plump and taste like real apples. The addition of other grains gives the oatmeal a wonderful texture and contributes to a wholly satisfying meal.
The measuring pouches are a nice touch; my workplace has bowls for our use, so I just tuck a few pouches into my lunchbag for use throughout the week. I don’t have to worry about how much water, the measuring line on the pouch is very handy. Since I found Abundance, I’ve been eating oatmeal for breakfast nearly every morning.
I have to watch the sodium in my diet and came across Better Oats Abundance last year. There are not many instant oatmeal products that are lower in sodium, so I was happy to find this one. It has now become a staple in my house (as long as I can find it). It is not as sweet as other instant oatmeal products, but if you like it sweeter you can just add some honey. I have also tried the Maple and Brown Sugar but I think the Apples & Cinnamon is better.
I really like this oatmeal, its simple to make and has a great whole grain bite to it not mush.
My favorite is the chi but its not available yet on amazon.
This oatmeal isn’t overly sweet and the apples are plump and not bland, I’ve found a new favorite and love it.
Would recommend to anyone looking for some great oatmeal.
I might have gotten a bad box, but the first pouch I made was distinctly rancid.
The first bite tasted horribly of mold.. I had to spit it out.
I won’t be trying the other pouches, or buying this brand again.
So, I was looking for a healthier option than the oatmeal I was currently eating (market pantry apple/cinnamon reduced sugar). This product has half the salt of my previous brand, actually has 3g MORE sugar, but was not good at all. I even tried adding (at different times) honey, sugar, and syrup. None of these things helped. This product was completely unpalatable and inedible. I had other people try it and they had the same result.
I have just come across a way to make this edible. Adding peanut butter, it’s a simple fix but shows how it needs a complete flavor overhaul in order to be eaten. I normally love whole grains, I’m not a sugar addict, this product was just not good.
Better Oats has a real winner with their instant oatmeals: not too sweet, genuine flavors. Each package comes with it’s own built in guide for measuring water and the oatmeal cooks in the microwave in two minutes. We love this product in all flavors. Thanks Amazon for making it available to us.
