I always use Dreamfields pasta whenever I make a pasta meal..It tastes just like regular pasta because it doesn’t give my sugar a spike.
Love the Pasta which I used to buy by the case here for about $2.70 a box. Price is now close to $4.00 a box at case price. Will not buy here again as it’s only $2.49 at local grocery and often on sale at $2.00 a box. Not sure how price jump of more than 50% here at Amazon can be justified.
noodles are great tasting but I didnt like the response from customer service when I didnt receive a item I ordered-
This great tasting pasta is a diabetic’s Godsend! Being a Type 2 Diabetic, I am always looking for ways to reduce my carb intake. Up till now that has meant avoiding pasta completely since a single serving of normal pasta has about 35 – 40 carbs. This has been one of the biggest impacts to my diet as we love Italian cooking. I was not sure about Dreamfields’ claim to only have 5 carbs, but we gave it a try anyway.
After having a full serving, my blood sugar levels only took a modest rise, about what I would have expected from 5 carbs (plus the 15 others from the rest of the meal)!
It does cost more than regular pasta, but it is worth it to me to be able to eat pasta again.
I’ve been using Dreamfields pasta for about a year and a half now. It’s become a kitchen staple for us. I bought it to help keep my sugar under control while still enjoying pasta dishes. My husband, a very finicky eater, didn’t even notice it was high-fiber (well, until he got a bit gassy later). Tastewise, this is just as good as regular, quality pasta. (And not gritty like whole wheat ones can be.)
A very nice product, and a boon to those watching their sugar numbers. I’ll add that I don’t get the super-sleepiness after eating this pasta that I used to eating regular pasta (you know, that post-carb napping syndrome).
I’ve used the penne, the linguine, the elbow (for mac’n’cheese and in soups) and the lasagna (for veggie and regular lasagne casseroles). Great. All of them.
I have a real problem with simple carbs like pasta. I retain water, getting sleepy, can’t concentrate, and feel miserable even with small amounts that most people can tolerate. But I love pasta! Isn’t that the way it always seems to work! Anyway, I can’t stand the texture of whole wheat pasta, so I’ve been doing without until I discovered Dreamfields. This product tastes EXACTLY like full wheat pasta but without the high carbs! It’s a miracle! I trust the net carb calculations on the label (5 gms per serving NET) because my body does not react to this pasta like it does the regular stuff. I’m telling you, I’ve served this brand to my husband and he NEVER knew the difference. I can only get spaghetti and penne locally, so even though it costs more, I have to go online to buy my favorites – elbow, rigatoni, and lasagne. Buying by the case at Amazon is cheaper than anywhere else, especially with no S&H. I hope they get the rigatoni back in stock soon. But if not, I’ll enjoy my elbow pastas salads, mac and cheese, goulash, and what ever else tickles my tongue’s fancy until they do. YUMMY!

Dreamfields pasta has given me the ability to eat pasta again. I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes almost four years ago, went on a diet and exercise regimen, lost 70 pounds and now my blood sugars are stabilized. Adding Dreamfields into my diet has been a Godsend! I can eat pasta again but I don’t have to worry about blood sugar spikes. And it tastes great, too! Please keep this product available and maybe include it in Walmart’s stock!
I had been eating whole wheat pastas, which are okay, but recent reading convinced me that even whole wheat provides too many carbs.
I was skeptical about Dreamfields, so I bought one box at my local market. I made macaroni and cheese with it and I couldn’t tell the difference between it and regular pasta, even plain.
I love the fact that it has low net carbs. I don’t do Atkins, but I try to keep my simple carbs low because there is type II diabetes in my family and I’d just as soon avoid that. There certainly isn’t anything wrong with avoiding simple carbs whenever possible.
A caveat: Do NOT overeat this pasta or you will regret it. I heard an interview with the president of Dreamfields & he said that the serving size is THE serving size and overeating the pasta can lead to nasty gastro effects and my hubby can tell you that’s true :). They also emphasize that the pasta should not be overcooked. I just undercook it before making my stovetop M&C, so that’s not an issue. Be sure to always cook al dente.
It’s definitely nice to be able to include pasta in my repetoire of recipes again!

I’VE TRIED OTHER LOW CARB SPAGHETTI AND SUCH, AND THIS PASTA IS THE FIRST I’VE FOUND THAT ACTUALLY TASTES GOOD — WHICH MEANS IT DOESN’T JUST SIT IN THE PANTRY AS THAT “HEALTHY” ALTERNATIVE THAT YOU ALWAYS PASS UP FOR THE TASTIER HIGH CARB STUFF. NOTE THAT THE BOXES ARE LESS THAN A POUND EACH; I FOUND IT WORTHWHILE TO BUY IN BULK. PRICE HERE WAS BETTER THAN OTHERS I FOUND; IF ANYONE FINDS A BETTER PRICE PLEASE ADD A REVIEW.
Great product. It’s hard to believe that it’s low carb because it tastes like regular pasta.
Wonderful taste and less carbs. Good for diabetics if you are careful about what you put on it. Good fiber content for you too.
Bought 12 boxes of Dreamfields elbow macaroni in 12/8/2010. Stopped using it because it did not help in controlling my blood glucose.
At 13 weeks into my pregnancy I found out I had gestational diabetes. For 3 weeks I was on a severely strict extremely low carb diet, in hopes that it would be managed. Unfortunately this was not the case and I was put on insulin. Even with high doses of insulin that I am currently taking (I am now 8 months along) even some foods that are approved on my diet cause my blood sugar levels to spike. If you have ever been on a very strict diet, you know how boring and tedious it can get because of eating the same foods over and over and seeing others eat your favorite foods while you look on in envy. Then I happened to watch an old episode of Unwrapped on the Food Network and they did a piece on this pasta. I was skeptical at first, who wouldn’t be? But in desperation I decided to order a case of the elbow macaroni and kept my fingers crossed. My first meal with this pasta was homemade mac and cheese. I closed my eyes and prayed to the food gods as I took my first bite. I was not disappointed. In fact, I was in shock. It tasted great, in fact, it tasted like high quality pasta. My husband scarfed down his plate in record time (having not been allowed pasta in our house for about 5 months he was almost as desperate as I was). When I told him it was low carb pasta he scoffed and thought I was joking, but then realized I wouldn’t have eaten it if it was regular pasta. So then he tells me that ok, yes, it tasted great, but my blood sugar numbers were sure to spike really high. I was worried about that too, but we were both wrong. After testing my blood sugar, my numbers were even with what they had been, it was the same as if I had eaten a salad. We have not noticed any ill side effects some of the other reviewers have described, and we eat at least 2 pasta meals each week now. I could not be happier with this product and will continue to purchase even after I have the baby because of how good it is for you. My friends and family have all had dishes I have made with this pasta and no one ever could tell it was not ‘real’ pasta and I got rave reviews for how amazing everything tasted. I would recommend this to anyone.
this is a great product for those watching their carbs. It is not
as heavy as regular pasta, but just as tasty

I like this a lot, much better than other low carb pastas, made from Soy. Dreamfields works in soups, with spagetti sauce, etc. It cooks fast and gets limp if overcooked, similar to “regular” pasta.
The soy pastas I’ve had tend to be rubbery and not very tasty, (plus they give me gas).
I remember when they had Dreamfields in the grocery store I was put off by the 41 grams of Carbs on the label. But I think they are right when they list it as low carb. I don’t test my blood sugar, but my body reacts when I eat a lot of carbs and this pasta doesn’t give me that reaction.
I like that it has apple pectin as part of the fiber profile. This is a great fiber, healing for the gut, and very expensive to buy as a supplement.
Since I don’t see this on the grocery shelf anymore I hope they are not phasing it out. Glad I tried it.

Simply put, this low carb pasta has the taste and texture of real pasta. It is so good, sometimes I wonder if it’s truly low carb.

THIS IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE BEST TASTING PASTA…ABSOLUTELY AS GOOD AS THE BEST FULL CARBOHYDRATED PASTA YOU CAN FIND. DREAMFIELDS PASTA DOESN’T MAKE MY SUGAR LEVELS SHOOT UP. I CAN FINALLY EAT PASTA AGAIN. THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I AM THRILLED THAT I FOUND YOUR PRODUCT.
I love this pasta. I just wish it was available in Japan where I reside.
