Good Seasons Garlic & Herb Salad Dressing & Recipe Mix. You Make It Fresh! Makes 8 fl oz.
I love this dressing, although I’m not a salad eater…I don’t buy it for salad dressing. I put in in sour cream for dip with veggies and unsalted chips or if you like Lays Potatoe Chips. My family loves it when I do it for Thanksgiving…its the first thing that goes.
I LOVE this stuff. I used to get it at my local Kroger, but it disappeared from the shelves one week and never came back. I was so happy to find it on Amazon. I use raspberry balsamic vinegar with it. HEAVEN!
I’m a salad nut and picky about what I put in and on my daily salads. I grew up on Good Seasons dressings and have used them for well over forty – ok, almost fifty years now – yes, they have been around that long! They are the best tasting salad dressings out there, and while I’ve used many, many other dressings over the years – from bottled to homemade – the Good Seasons Salad Dressing family is my favorite.
Back in the 60s I think we always made the dressings with vegetable oil and apple cider vinegar, but after I got out on my own and widened my food horizons, I find I love Good Seasons even more. Vinegar is the big secret with these dressings – change the type of vinegar you use and you dramatically change the flavor! In the 80s I started using red wine and white wine vinegars, which gave it a whole new taste. In the 90s Basalmic vinegar was the way to go and my foodie friends were never so impressed! Now my vinegar of choice is a rice vinegar, especially with the Zesty Italian and this flavor – Garlic and Herb. But other vinegars are great too – try it with malt vinegar for a change of pace.
My other trick is that I now make my dressing with a healthier canola oil, rather than the vegetable oil of the old days. I’ve also made it with olive oils, but I don’t use olive oil as a general rule, only because the oil solidifies in the refrigerator and you have to take it out ahead of time to soften it. I’m just not that good at planning ahead, so I’ll stick with canola. I also use a bit more of both the oil and vinegar than the package recommends – I like the taste a bit better and I get a wee bit more dressing for each package.
And now that I’ve found my favorite salad dressing on Amazon, life just got better yet. The prices in the grocery stores had gone way up over the years to over $2.25 a pack, but now I can buy 16 to 24 packages of dressing for over a buck per package less. Thanks Amazon!
I have used this family favorite dressing mix flavor for YEARS. In the past year, it has become more and more difficult to find it in the grocery stores. Thank goodness for the internet and Amazon!!! I was able to order and received in very timely manner.

I’ve been using Good Seasons Garlic & Herb Salad Dressing for years. It is especially good for pasta salads and 3 or 4 bean salads. I use canola oil and rice wine vinegar and I’m sure those two make a difference too. But Garlic & Herb isn’t sold anywhere I can find it around Boise, Idaho so I was delighted to find it on Amazon. I’ve tried other dressings – bottled and packaged but none can compare to this one. Good Seasons Salad Dressing & Recipe Mix, Garlic & Herb, 0.75-Ounce Packets (Pack of 24)
I’ve stocked up.
We find the Garlic and Herb salad dressing to be tasty and when using olive oil, healthy as well. We not only use it on salads, but the dry mix itself can be lightly sprinkled on sword fish along with a small amount of butter before grilling the fish – the finished product is fabulous!
My “secret” dressing the family loves–only found on Amazon–Thank You Amazon for saving me and my “secret” dressing…..Peggy
This is pretty much the only salad dressing that my husband will eat. it’s difficult to remember to pick it up from the grocery, and it’s never on sale. Purchasing through the Subscribe and Save method is the way to go, and with a pack of two dozen, running out is not a problem.
As for the product itself, I’ll admit it’s one of the tastier commercially-available dressings on the market, and especially tasty when prepared with canola oil. Highly recommend this flavor over the original Italian, and very much recommend it over the too-sour-tasting Zesty Italian. The garlic flavor is pervasive throughout, and it is very easy to prepare.
I’m a fan of homemade salad dressing myself, but like I say, this stuff is my hubby’s fav.
This dressing is fantastic, I mix it with red wine vinegar, sunflower oil and eat it over a garden salad or pasta salad. It is the best, this will make sure that you eat your daily vegetables. You can’t get enough with this dressing. I love it.
I’ve always loved making this fresh Garlic and Herb dressing. While in Seattle, WA, I could not find it. The dressing is terrific on any salad that dictates a mild dressing. When I returned to Florida, I had difficulty locating it here. This box of 24 packets was priced well below any sale price that I could find in the grocery stores. Thanks for the chance to ensure that we will have wonderful salad dressing for months to come.
This is my favorite among all the dressings……..But it is hard to find in the stores. The shelves are loaded with GS Italian Dressing. It is rare when I can find my favorite. The only place I found it was Walmart….and they don’t keep enough in stock. I found it availible on Amazon. So, I ordered a whole box of it along with a box of the Garlic and Cheese. I would like to know why the stores don’t carry a varity. Even COSTCO & BJ’s only carry the Italian. That is NOT my favorite.
Good Seasons Garlic & Herb dressing is the very best salad dressing ever. Every time I serve it someone will comment on how delicious it is and “you must give me the recipe,” It is not carried in most the of super markets in my area so when I see it I buy all they have. You will always find in my pantry. Except today, I used my last packet last night and have to go to town to get more. Hope they have it.
If used as a dry rub it’s great sprinkled on grilled chicken, steak and even pot roasts in the crockpot. It’s also great as a salad dressing, mix with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and it’s the best. I use this for a lot of different dishes. It’s great in spaghetti sauce it adds the perfect kick, sour cream and make a potato chip dip, and with a little olive oil dip for bread. This is the most versatile and best tasting of all the Good Seasons dressings.
This salad dressing mix from Good Seasons is excellent! It is very hard to find in my local grocery stores. I use it as a marinade for chicken, and as a salad dressing. It is super on pasta salads!
This is an excellent review. I even use it when I make cucumber salad.
This is almost as good as the Italian dressing ~ we love it. And it’s so easy to make.

I expected something a little different from some of the other reviews, but this flavor was very similar to the Zesty Italian that we have in my stores. I didnt find the flavor very garlicy, which is what I was expecting. Still a great salad dressing , our favorite brand.
The grocery stores are no longer carrying this product for some reason, so I order it from Amazon. It makes the best vinegrette I have tasted. I use white basalmic vinegar and olive oil, and mix it according to the “lower fat” instructions on the envelope. It is fantastic!

I think this is the best salad dressing product on the market. I give it 5 stars for taste and quality.
For whatever reason, not a single grocery store in my region carries this particular Good Seasons Garlic & Herb mix. All the stores have Good Seasons Italian and Spicy Italian and seldom any others, certainly no others in the past two years anyway.
I must admit that I’ve never taken out a subscription for salad dressing in my entire life, but now I will get a mailing of packets of this great flavor of salad dressing every couple months, AND at a cheaper price than what the supermarkets charge, too. Another plus!!
I have been using this salad dressing for years. Whenever anyone asks me to bring something to a party it is always my green salad. Granted, I put a lot of great ingredients in my green salad, avocado, kidney beans, garbanzo beans, whole kernel corn, grated cheese, black olives but so do other people. I finally realized it was the salad dressing I was using. Everyone always asked me what it was. I have given up using any other salad dressing a long time ago and I buy this one by the case at Amazon so I will always have it available for the next party potluck I go to as no one ever asks me to bring anything else but my green salad but what they are really asking for is my Garlic & Herb Salad Dressing.
Good Seasons Zesty Italian is wonderful. People rave about my salads and I always use Good Seasons Zesty Italian. I use apple cider vinegar and saffola oil. I’ve tried using olive oil but it doesn’t have quite the good taste that the saffola oil has. For spinach salad I put in bacon, lots of green onion, mushrooms, avacado, lots of parmesan cheese, hard boiled eggs and croutons.
Product was not available at any local stores, and cost here was comparable to buying local. Extremely happy to find one of my favorite products.
Wife is low carbing. After trying different bottled dressings, I tried making my own from the Good Seasons line. My wife enjoys the Ceasar dressing, but absolutely prefers the Garlic and Herb. It is light flavored, fresh, but not over-powering. Our local grocer has a hard time keeping it in stock, while the Zesty Italian just sits on the shelf. Easy to make. Great flavor. I do put a little olive oil in the oil mix for extra boost.
I use this seasoning packet as a base for many dishes, marinades, avocado and tomatoe salad, for example. For some reason, the grocers in the Seattle area don’t carry this product anymore and I am so glad Amazon does.
I love this product and panic if I start to run low so by having it shipped, at a great price, on a regular time schedule insures me I’ll never run out.
I used to be able to buy these packets at the local supermarkets, but they don’t carry this particular one anymore.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E1FZCI/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_img
It is my favorite salad dressing. Frustration gone! Happiness back!
