A bonito based, very pungent, granular soup base, this product serves as a flavor enhancer to many dishes. Use it to add an ocean essence to Asian seafood recipes. For a quick soup, add vegetables, seafood, tofu, hot water, and simmer for a few minutes.
First ingredients are salt and MSG
Use sparingly, not only because it’s very unhealthy, but because it has a very fishy taste. I used the recipe’s instructed amount on the first batch of miso soup and it was way too much.
