I bought this for a party. This rice is usually served with satays and peanut sauce which I also made. I must say I was really impressed with the taste of it. The rice is nice and sticky with nice coconut fragrance and taste. All I needed to do was to boil the rice packets in water for a couple of hours. The traditional way is to weave little baskets using coconut leaves, filling the leave baskets with glutinous rice and then boiling them (called ketupat). Imagine the amount of work and time saved with this!!! My guests also ate the rice pieces by dipping them in sugar. I’m planning to use this to make mango sticky rice as well as serve it with sweetened red bean paste. Super yummy!
