Deadly treat

I bought these at a local store. I broke up the first one for smaller training treats. My finger was stabbed by a needle shaped fish bone. This bone could have easily perforated my dogs digestive tract and made him very ill or dead. I have contacted the manufacturer and have yet to receive a response.

Offensive gas producer!!!

I opened a bag of this treat a week ago. It was a part of the Christmas present I gave to my 5-month old miniature schnauzer. My pet is crazy over this treat! I would have given this product five stars because my puppy loves it and it’s highly nutritious (as claimed by the manufacturer). But I reduced my scoring to two-stars because it makes my puppy pass obnoxious-smelling gas. It doesn’t bother him but it does me! When I reviewed the list of ingredients, I found a possible culprit: sweet potato. This is a root crop known to cause flatulence.

Duck! Treats Are Coming

These two-millimeter long treats don’t have the pronounced smell of the tuna treats. Like the other Omega treats these are easy to break in half, but are small enough for many dogs to eat in one piece. The shih tzu pair, with their dainty snouts, prefer to have their duck treats torn or cut in two. Since the first ingredient in these Duck treats is duck liver, the girls are becoming treat snobs and act as if they are actually dining on Foie gras. I don’t have the heart to tell them anything different.
Often the Omega Duck treats are mixed in with several other snacks on the breakfast plates. Always the duck treats are the first to disappear. It’s funny to watch Piper push aside the other treats so that she can pick out the pieces of Omega treats. I have some reservations about the treat’s country of origin, but the girls love these things and their lip smacking comments have all been positive.

High quality yummy treat for dogs!

My puppy loves these treats! She’s allergic to wheat and gluten so it’s hard to find treats for her (and ones that she likes). She has naturally dry skin and these definitely help! The omega 3 & 6 fatty acids provide what she needs to keep her coat healthy and shiny. It’s great– they don’t contain any wheat, soybean, glutens, bad preservatives, or by-products. Not to mention that the salmon and sweet potatoes in it are known to be easily digestible. She gets so excited when I bring out the bag. Worth the money! Highly recommended!

WARNING MADE IN CHINA!!!

I am downgrading from a 5 star to a 1 star because they are made in CHINA. Treats from China have been associated with kidney and liver failure and rare cancers in dogs. Another series of dog deaths from treats from China has been released. There is no oversight. These treats may be OK but I will not take any chances. I am really irritated with Amazon and the vendor for not disclosing the source of the product. They say in the online description, “read the label carefully”. In very small print the country of origin is disclosed. I do not knowingly feed my dogs anything from China.

These are great treat. My dogs love them and they are no artificial stabilizers or fillers. However, at most other on line pet websites they are half the price. Usually Amazon is competitive in pricing but not on this line of products.

My dogs love these, but they are extremely overpriced on Amazon.com

The product itself is great, thus my 5 stars. My dogs love these and I think it’s helping their dry skin, but … WOW @ the price! I had no idea the 6-oz. size is the same package I buy at PetsMart for $4.99 – HALF the cost I paid here – and for 3 bags at that! :((((( I had run out, so I didn’t have a package to check the size. I thought I’d add these to my Amazon order for convenience, and *assumed* the 6-oz. bag must be considerably larger than the ones I get at PetsMart, given that the price was TWICE – very odd for Amazon, so I never suspected the packages are the same size! People – definitely get these from PetsMart, or check PetsMart or Petco online even – this is WAY OVERPRICED! If I could have rated the price itself, it would have gotten ZERO STARS ~

world’s fussiest dog loves these!

My dog (14 year old toy poodle) hates just about every food for dogs. This is the only treat I’ve ever found that she never refuses! The treats are a bit pricey but, for once, they won’t go to waste. I do limit the number she eats in a day, as specified on the bag.

Healthy Treats

My dogs absolutely love these treats – we get them in salmon, duck and chicken. There is nothing they won’t do to get one! If they are ignoring me outside, all I have to do is shake the bag and they come running…licking their chops on the way!

More importantly, the omega is great for their skin and coat – one of my dogs has issues with dry skin/flaking. As long as I give these to her on a regular basis – her skin is flake free and her coat is absolutely beautiful!

It’s a win win – my dogs love them and they are good for them! What more can you ask for from a treat?

Smelly, but they make my doggies very happy

First of all, they stink. Imagine fish lying around in the sun for a couple of hours. Yeah, they’re that smelly.

But that, as it turns out, is why my dogs love them so much. These treats are so special, in fact, that they’re only given out when we want to get our girls into their crates, like at bedtime, or if we’re going out or something. They even know the bag…all I have to do it get it out of the cabinet and they’re running off into their crates, waiting happily for their treats.

I had read the review from the person who wrote that a fishbone had been found in one. What I do is bend/break them down the middle before handing them out so I can feel if there’s something sharp inside.

So the bottom line here is…if my dogs love them, then I love them. 🙂

My dogs favorite and nutritious treat!

Not only is this treat good for my dog, but it is great for her coat! She loves them. She normally does not do tricks, but will sit, give her paw and do anything you say for those treats.

Dog likes it but I don’t.

The ingredients read this as a healthy treat, and my dog does really enjoy them, but oh wow, these things smell horrible! Absolutely horrible, and I like fish! I tried to tolerate it, but it really turns my stomach. The smell sticks to your fingers too, I have to wash my hands after giving my dog just one of these because the smell is still so offensive. Yuck. I’m gonna give the chickens ones a try, but the salmon is going back.

these treats read like they are excellent, but my little dog won’t touch them, and so far, neither will any of the neighbor dogs. too bad.

My dogs beg for more

I have some incredibly picky dogs and they love these treats. The pieces are nice and small. I reccommend this to even the most finicky of dogs. My dogs have had no digestive issues with them.

CRAZY ABOUT THESE TREATS!!

These treats come in Salmon and Duck….my dogs LOVE both. They go crazy when they even see the bag…. Perfect size for a training treat. These treats stay moist…I have the Bear Treats also, they are good too, but more of a dried salmon “meal” consistency.
