Two of my middle-aged cats have shown signs of stiffness in one of their hind legs. I decided to give them Cosequin, a highly recommended supplement for joint health in cats and dogs.
One of my cats is a pig and will eat anything that’s not nailed down, so I knew giving him the supplement would be a fairly easy process; however, the other cat is very picky and will only eat dry food (he’s not even interested in cat treats), so I was concerned that giving him the Cosequin would be an impossible task.
Enter Greenies Pill Pockets (chicken flavored). Skittles (the finicky cat) went nuts the second I introduced them. I stuck a capsule inside a Pill Pocket and he snarfed it down at top speed, then started looking for more. And it’s been that way ever since. For the first time ever, my cats actually look forward to getting their medication every day! (In fact, the other two cats who aren’t receiving medication try to sneak a Pill Pocket every now and then.)
The only thing I would caution is that the pockets are fairly small. Cosequin capsules, for example, can be opened and sprinkled on food or into a pocket — but it took about three pockets to hold one capsule’s worth of powder. Thus, I’ve had to keep the capsule intact, pushing it through the pocket so that it sticks out on both ends. That said, my cats still inhale it like it’s the best thing they’ve ever tasted.
Highly recommended for all cat families. This product works miracles.
My cats actually think they are getting a treat when I give them their pills in these pockets. They even beg for them. Sure beats having to shove the pills down their throats, upsetting me and them.
Great deal for product! I actually use the cat pill pockets fpr my dog. Vet recommended it because they like the flavot better..
After a week of struggling to get my older cat to take a pill twice a day, I tried these Pill Pockets and now the cat begs for his pills. I divide it in half and give him one half without a pill, and then give him one with the pill. He begs for more!
They definitely make giving a pill to a cat alot more doable especially when you have to give 2 or 3 for the rest of his life.

These ‘treats’ are the perfect disguise to hide daily meds for my little furballs. Plus, since they cost about $10 a bag at the store, this price and low shipping fee is a bargain! Thanks a bunch!!!! 🙂

I recieved the product VERY quickly and felt I got a good deal, which was great, but the pill pockets inside the bags are very dry and difficult to work with. A little disappointing, since I know that the texture should be akin to Play-Dough, which makes it conducive to hiding pills in. Also, the packaging is actually different than what is pictured, which I expected.
Instead have chasing down my cat and shoving a pill down her throat twice a day, I put the pill in a pill pocket, and now she comes running to me to get her “treat.” The only problem is keeping the younger cats from taking the pill pocket away from the sick one. GET THIS PRODUCT!! Have it on hand in case your cat needs medicine.
My cat was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and I now have to give her two pills a day. After struggling with hiding it in her food or in cream cheese (she fought me all the way even with these methods), I did an internet search and found out about pill pockets. So far, so good. She eats the treat and swallows the pill with no problems. I’m really happy with this product.
My cat hates his meds. It was a knock-down fight each morning. Then a friend recomended Pill Pockets. Now I have to fight him long enough to get the pill in the pocket and give it to him. And he is purring all the time. We are both very pleased with this product. If you have a pill shy pet, dog or cat this is the way to go.

These are absolutely great for giving medicine to pets! Even my usually super finicky cat loves the chicken flavor (not so much the salmon flavor, though). These little nuggets are lifesavers (literally)! Try them, you’ll like them!
Pill Pockets make the unpleasant task of having to think about your pet’s illness much easier by taking the frustration out of giving medication. Instead of having to use a piller to force a pill down their throat, they think they are getting a treat. It works very well. After having to use a piller on my cat for about a month, I woke up in the middle of the night after having a dream about a treat that could hold the pill in it. I was ready to make at least a hundred thousand bucks. Then I did a google search and it turns it already exists — so I’m sending them my money instead. Oh well…it’s an excellent product.
I have a cat who has had to recieve a pill each day for years and after trying every technique with more or less success I found these pill pockets. They are so easy to use and my cat has never refused a pill and actually looks forward to it as a treat.
I recommend it for anyone who has a cat that needs meds, daily or not.
I’ve also found that the pocket treats stay fresh for a long time but I like to not only close the bag but keep it in a plastic container to keep them from ever drying out.

Designed to insert a pet’s pill in the pocket. Squeeze or pinch the top of the pocket over and the pill is concealed from a pet in a treat. In fact, the treat is so soft and supple, you don’t even have to put the pill in the pocket. You can just push the treat onto the pill and squeeze the rest of the treat material around the pill to hide it. Works well when hiding multiple pills that might not fit in the pocket. I buy the cat size for my small dog (4.5 lb), and she just loves them. Never has refused a pill hidden in one. I even use them empty as a treat!
