Not a healthy food.

Thought I’d try this as a cheaper alternative to the expensive prescription diet my vet recommended. Researched further & added canned food, cranberry supplement, & water fountain. No problems so far & feel much better that my cats are back on their meat-base food. This stuff even smells bad. Was worried since a Purina brand & I normally do not buy any of these poor quality foods, but tried it.

Takes care of my cat with urinary problems and is a great price!

I used to buy from Giant but then I found this on Amazon. It is twice as much as I can get in the Giant Store and last for two months. The price a lot less than I’ve been paying in thegrocery store. I will order one every 2 months as long as they offer it. I’m happy!! And so are Stella Dallas and Snowy!!

Does its job

I bought this food for my young cat which used to suffer from urinary tract issues. After going to the vet and getting very expensive food from them, i decided to give this purina One a try. It did a great job at keeping my cat healthy, and never had a problem with urinary tract again while on this food. The only reason i give this 3 stars and not five, is because my cat doesn’t like it(he is not really a picky eater, he eats a wide variety of things). He will only eat it when absolutely starving or when mixed in with other dry or canned foods. Right now i am feeding him friskies special diet canned food, as well as iams proactive health original with chicken. This combination he really enjoys and it has given great results with his UTI problem (which has not reoccurred in over a year). Since i still have about half a bag left of PurinaOne, i just leave out a bowl for him at night so he can eat if really hungry, but half a cup usually lasts about 4 or 5 days before he eats it all. It is a very good product which does its job wonderfully, it is just not for my particular cat.

Works good for our Cats

I have 2 cats and one developed crystals in his urine – after hundreds of dollars in vet bills and the expensive food (which you can only get a Petsmart if you have a prescription) I thought there had to be an alternative food for my cats. We’ve been feeding this to both our cats (one is prone to Urinary problems and the other isn’t) – seems to be working fine for the past…4 years about. Our cats have never been picky eaters, so it was an easy switch and no my issues.

My only gripe with Amazon is that – Walmart sells the 16 lb bag for $21-$22 and it’s sold on here for $29. Not really a deal, so I do buy this cat food elsewhere.

Our Cats love it!

We have a cat with severe bladder issues and must have the special food. It has been difficult to find food that all the cats like that doesn’t cost a fortune. This does the trick. Having it delivered to our door is a huge plus.

Unhealthy pet food!!!! Bah!

I have fed my cats and dogs nothing but Purina products for the past 30 years. I have NEVER had any problems with any of my animals all these years and they have all lived to a ripe old age. When other pets were dying from contaminated food I continued with Purina/Friskies and had no scares at all. There were absolutely no recalls on any Purina food.

I learned my lesson when I tried another brand. The cats ate it only once and wouldn’t touch it after that. That’s when I looked on the lable. It was bought in my local grocery but was made in Thailand. I have nothing against Thailand, but I dread to think what was in that food. Thai cats must be hardy souls to live on that stuff. This situation made me more dedicated to Purina.

I have tried the expensive “healthy” pet foods and my animals don’t like them. So, unless you want to take out a second mortgage on your home to afford “healthy” pet foods, you can rely on good old Purina products.
