View larger Chai White Tea Stash White Chai tea is a lighter version of the traditional Chai. By blending premium white tea with cinnamon, whole cloves, cardamom, ginger root and cassia, we created a flavorful and spicy tea that goes well with a splash of milk and sweetener. Originally from China, white tea is simply withered and dried, causing a very light oxidation. Its flavor is most similar to that of green tea, but is usually more creamy, soft and sweet. Green tea production endeavors to avoid the oxidation of the tea leaves, in order to retain its natural green color and fresh flavor. In Japan, the leaves are steamed, while other countries will pan-fire or dry it through other methods. It has a more delicate flavor than black tea and often brews up pale green or golden in color. I bought one of the Stash teas-don’t remember which one. It contained gluten! I am gluten intolerant but NEVER expected ANY tea to contain gluten. There is NO reason for tea to contain gluten. Celiacs beware!

I recently bought this item based on the good reviews I saw here. However, I was dismayed to learn that this tea is actually decaffeinated! This fact is hidden on the back of the box, while it should be in the product’s name.
Im not sure what everyone else on here thinks green tea is supposed to taste like, but this is not it. I go through about half a gallon of green tea a day, so Im always willing to try new flavors, brands, etc. This is the only one that I have had to literally choke down. This tea is bitter, but thats not the real reason its so bad. The taste is cheap, overpowering, and unpleasant.
I think either Stash has its employees writing reviews, or amazonians are being suckered in by the snazzy/hip box and packets of this truly awful tea.
I’d never tried this before, but because I like Salada’s version so much, and the reviews were so good, I figured I’d try it. Well, it’s just not MY cup of tea – really intesely sweet spices – back to Salada for me!
Very pleased with the product and the lightning delivery…I’ve shopped thru Amazon for years and I’ve never had a negative experience.
I always buy Bigelow’s green tea (which aside from the need to use two teabags per cup due to weakness, is satisfactory). Still, I thought I’d give Stash’s a go. I immediately knew that I would soon regret doing so when I opened the first tea packet-the smell! Like a stagnant swamp! To make matters worse, it taste like what I would imagine swamp water would taste like. Honey doesn’t do much to improve upon the flavor, either. Perhaps this is what people mean when they describe a green tea as “grassy”? At any rate, I won’t be revisiting this one.
After trying about 30 different brands of Green Tea, I have found this to be the best tasting. This Green Tea is a blend of Japanese Green Teas, which are more robust and flavourful than typical Chinese Greens. The only Green Tea I’ve tasted that compares is straight Yama Moto Yama from Japan. I believe Yama Moto Yama is also in the Stash blend.
As far as Green Teas go, this blend is among the naturally sweetest and has no bitterness… unless you overcook it. The trick I have found to getting the best flavour from Green Teas is not using too high a temperature to steep it. Steep at a lower temp (170F-180F) for a longer time which will result in a tea that is actually green in colour, not brown or gold. Also, this tea tastes best as is, don’t put any sweeteners in it like sugar or honey. If you are addicted to sugar, ween yourself off of it and enjoy the great flavour of this premier Green Tea.
Of course, Green Tea is incredibly healthy, rich in anti-oxidants and relaxing theanine, is not harmfully acidic like coffee and there is also one quarter the amount of caffiene than in coffee – easier to brew too!
The price is quite reasonable considering the quality of tea you are getting. Better yet, buy it in bulk for great savings.
If you want to be even healthier, Stash also sells their Premium Green Tea in organic form for only a few more pennies per bag.
Enjoy and be healthy!
This is certainly an interesting tea. It does not have a light flavor, like green or white tea. Personally, I taste notes of green olives (yes, green olives) in this tea, which I don’t care for. But that taste is only subtle.

I love the Stash brand tea. I love the flavors of Pomegranate, Raspberry but put them together with green tea isn’t a taste I like. I figured given the fact that I love the taste of Pomegranate and Raspberries I would like this one but personally I don’t like it. But just because I don’t like it doesn’t mean someone else wouldn’t like it. It is something you should judge for yourself.

I used to drive to an out of the way grocery store for Stash Moroccan Mint. When they stopped carrying it I was so upset! It did a hard core internet search and finally found out I could order from Amazon in bulk. Yay! I drink green tea for the health benefits, and have been drinking various kinds for about ten years now. Before I found this kind, I would choke down regular green (which tastes like hay!) and tried all of the flavored kinds. Most of the teas would hurt my stomach if I drank them in the morning on an empty stomach. Moroccon mint doesn’t bother my tummy at all. In fact, If I have an upset stomach or feel really full, this tea actually calms it. I drink two talls of this tea a day. I am thirty years old, but I hear everyday that I look like I am in my early 20’s. People quite literally don’t believe that I am 30. I really think a lot of this has to do with the powerful health benefits. Beyond this, I am around children all the time as I nanny for a side job, and am never sick. I would highly recommend this tea, and I have tried them all! But please don’t order a bunch because I don’t want it to be out of stock! ha ha! One more thing, I replaced green tea with coffee and it was not a difficult switch. If I can do it, you can too!
The white tea blended w/ the green takes the edge off of green’s sometimes grassy taste and creates a nice honey colored liqueor. I drink 5-6 cups a day easy.
So flavorful and smells like heaven. Great price compared to stores. Arrived fast.
I have reordered this product before in 240 count. I was waiting for my appointment at Yale New Haven Hospital and viewing the hospital closed circuit TV which was explaining health tips. The topic changed to the benefits of green tea and it mentioned it’s anti oxidant properties and the fact that it helps reduce belly fat!!. I do not have a real problem in this area as I am 5′ 10 1/2″ tall and weighed 209 lbs. After surgery I had to watch my diet and with the help of Stash Green Tea consumed cold from a 32 once thermos at least three times weekly I have lost 17 lbs and inches from my belly area. TIP; Cut the string and tab off four tea bags and place in a 32 oz. thermos, top off with filtered water. You can refill with water all day or add one or two additional tea bags while leaving the others in the thermos. Keep refrigerated if possible. Ice cubes will rupture the tea bags. Try this for three months for at least three days a week or more and see if the belly isn’t flatter!!
I actually like this tea, but I did give it three stars for a couple of reasons. The tea, in my opinion, is average… nothing really to set it apart… three stars is average… The tea is not organic, no really high points, no really bad points… again… average. The biggest negative for me is the price… at the supermarket they usually have sales on tea that would make this a lot cheaper if bought there.

Stash has been making wonderful teas for many years, and this is one of their best. It is a green tea, with raspberry and pomegranate bits for flavor. It is also a healthy tea. I put freh or frozen fruit in it sometimes, which makes it even better. I love this tea!!

Stash products such as jasmine tea are by far the best availble.
They com in a very good bag, so it will not loose aroma.
I have tried many others but prefer Stash tea
I love this tea….on auto delivery. As an Oregonian, I love that this is a local product.
The most delectable flavor I’ve ever experienced in a fruity green tea. I brew up large batches, keep in frig, and drink multiple cups each day. The green tea with matcha is very healthy. Needs no sugar. I choose to drink favorite teas and smell aromatic oils as ways to enjoy calorie-free pleasure.

This is my husband’s favorite green tea. He will drink other brands if he must (usually if he ran out and is waiting for the next shipment to arrive!), but he really prefers this one. No frills, no extra flavors, just plain green tea goodness. Just be sure to not let your tea steep too long, or it will become bitter.

I enjoy having a cup of tea during the day. I found that the Stash Premium Tea, Pomegranate Rasberry Green Tea bags renews me.

Maybe you can’t speak the language, but you will appreciate their tea – very refreshing.
I really wanted to like this tea because it is full of antioxidants. I was hoping for a fruity flavor, but instead it tastes just like cough syrup. I do not have good memories of cough syrup as a child, so because the flavor reminds me so much of yucky cough medicine, I can not drink it. I tried to drink it anyways, thinking that the benefits of a tea filled with anti-oxidants outweigh the flavor, but I just couldn’t do it! Well, that is just my 2 cents. If anyone else has tried this and agrees with me, let me know!
I didn’t really care for this tea that much. I’ve been trying out teas to find which ones I like, I’ve tried about 30 so far. I like Celestial seasoning’s Mandarin Orchard green tea and Salada green tea better than this. I find most Stash brands to be astringent tasting, leaving my mouth feeling dry. If I really watch how hot the water is and steep for only a short time, then the taste is bearable but very weak. My husband also doesn’t like any of the stash teas that we’ve tried.
I’ve been hooked on NOW’s spearmint tea for awhile, and when that was unavailable for a time, I found this. I’d been wanting the benefits of green tea again anyway, and this seemed the ideal mix of the two, with the added bonus of peppermint and lemongrass. The glowing reviews here sealed my decision…but alas, I sadly haven’t found this to be as wonderful as they did. I find this tea to be pretty bland no matter how little or long I steep it, and there’s barely a trace of either mint to be detected. Now anything like this is going to be a matter of personal taste, obviously. I do recommend trying a single box if you can before committing to the case of 6.
And I was drinking good coffee too. This is my absolute favorite tea. It’s great with milk and a splash of honey. I tried other chais, but the spices were often overpowering. This one is so good I bring some with me when I travel, since restaurants rarely have it. If you like this flavor, ordering in bulk is the way to go. The cost per box is almost half that in grocery stores.
Either you like it or you do not. We do, so it is 5 stars.
At the time we bought it Amazon was less expensive than our supermarkets in quantities qualifying for free shipping.
Amazon – keep competetive prices coming (not yet common enough) on quality products (frequent) and we will be sold. Ease of ordering and shipping generally excellent. Choice of packaging sometimes bizzare and wasteful, such as a box many times bigger than necessary with loose boxes of tea and crumpled paper filler.
I drink two cups of this tea every day. This is my favorite tea and I have been a tea drinker all of my life. A very smooth cup of tea!
I’m new to green tea so I purchased this product with Bigelow Green Tea, Preferred tea is Bigelow without any doubt but that’s my personal preference.
I have not been able locally to find the Chai Tea in the Green, only black and mixed black and green. This is light but very aromatic and flavorful with just a hint of sweet. At zero calories, it is the perfect snack to get me over a craving, and decadent enough to feel like a treat. I love this tea and will definitely order more. If you want to add steamed milk, I would recommend you stick with the black chai tea- it is a bit too much for the green.
I love Stash Premium Green Tea. There are tons of brands of green tea out there, but for an instant cup of hot green tea, Stash is the most fragrant for me.
