I was hoping for something similar to Jacks, which is my favorite. It is a little thinner than most, with smaller bits of tomatoes and cilantro, the way I like it. However, this was so salty I couldn’t eat more than two bites. I poured it down the drain.
excellent shelf brand salsa
this is a delicious salsa. it has a thinner consistency than many of the other varieties in the grocer.
the ingredients are chopped or blended finer yet it still holds to chips well.
it isnt hot but has a irresistible pepper seed zest.
also, it is nearly identical in taste and texture to many mexican restaurant salsas i have had.
Tried this hoping for something better than the thick salsa that everyone else makes and it was great! After making our own it gets time consuming so this is a good alternative.
Excellent for a jarred salsa
This is “restaurant style” salsa, and that’s exactly what it is. It’s supposed to be “runny” b/c it’s “all natural” and “restaurant style”. I usualy make my own salsa with diced tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, fresh lime juice, cumin, etc., but now I only buy this salsa as it’s obviously less time consuming. I live in Baltimore, but for some reason can only find it in one Target in the area. If you like your salsa more “natural” and less “paste-like” then this is the salsa for you!
Didn’t like it.
Tried this Salsa and thought it was pretty bad. Very runny with a strange aftertaste. I ate it but won’t buy again.
